I spend a lot of my professional life training group exercise leaders about
the ins and outs of managing their class successfully. Inevitably the question of music
comes up. When it does I suggest only one resource: Ken Alan's Aerobic Beat Music Company.
These tapes are wonderfully energizing and motivating. From classic high-energy hits to the hottest new music, they have something for every workout. My favorites are his specialty tapes: Senior Workout, Country Style, Tropical and Blast to the Past. For step classes I rotate his eleven Step tapes which are carefully phrased in 8, 16 and 32 count segments.
